So, I am delurking after a year or so to ask if anyone has seen a good way to work with the RCX on Linux. I have available to me RS232 and USB towers, RCX versions 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0, ROBOLAB versions 1.0 through 2.9 (plus bug fix), RIS2.0, as well (...) (16 years ago, 22-Aug-08, to lugnet.robotics)

I recently dug my old MindStorms sets out of storage after about five years of inactivity. Naturally the RCXes (I have three) all needed to have their firmware re-installed. Today a catalog from Lego Educaton turned up in the snail mail. As I was flipping through it I saw the "WeDo" system advertised in it. I have updated the toolchain little bit: *the binsert utility reads binary file info directly from the standard firmware image (and you do not have to cut out the file sections manually) *the demo program executes, which is probably what some have (...)
