  NBC-NCX Experiences

Hello NXT-Community, currently I make some tests with the very nice NBC-NXC compiler. My first tries to drive the Tribot around were successfully 8-) But now my question is: How can I access sensors from NXC ? All my attempts causes the compiler to (...)   NBC Debugger

Tamas Sorosy has recently made his awesome NBC Debugger available via his website. (URL) this page you will find a link to the NBC Debugger as well as his excellent NBC math library. To use the debugger you should download the very latest test (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Custom sensors on the cybermaster

(...) Oops, I didn't realize that. In that case it might be perfectly allright with me, because I will need to set the light sensor against a dedicated light source anyway. Sensitivity would be just sufficient in that case, I guess. Thanks Jürgen, (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.cybermaster)

  Re: Date/Time Clock for NXT?

(...) I think so too. One solution to the problem would be an I2C clock "sensor", such as MindSensor's (URL) one is not directly adapted to NXT, but if there is some demand it would not be hard to do... Philo (19 years ago, 1-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Date/Time Clock for NXT?

In article <J9Jv4v.nDo@lugnet.com>, Dick Swan <dickswan@sbcglobal.net> writes (...) This question seems straightforward. In the hardware schematic PDF that Lego have published there is a block diagram of the "Power Block" on page 4. This does indeed (...) (19 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Date/Time Clock for NXT?

Hi Dick, (...) that is all less than crystal clear from the AT91SAM7S data sheet, but plausible. (...) I think so, too. On page 2 at the left there is the circuit which generates VCC3V, and it is controlled by the AVR via P_EN. The 1.8V for the core (...) (19 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Date/Time Clock for NXT?

A date/time clock would be a useful addition to the NXT. Naturally, it should continue to operate even when the NXT is powered "down". So here's a question for any hardware gurus that have a good understanding of the NXT schematic. The ARM processor (...) (19 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Custom sensors on the cybermaster

Hi Jerry, (...) It's not that useless, the light sensor also works passively, it's just even less sensitive than in active mode. Jürgen (19 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.cybermaster)

Re: Custom sensors on the cybermaster

(...) Good I found this post today - I was just about to fool around w/ one of my spare cybermasters and hook up the RIS light sensors to it. So that's obviously a useless attempt, as the active sensors won't do a thing. Which in turn means that in (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.cybermaster)

  MacNQC on Intel anyone?

Hi, after replacing my PowerMac and iBook with a new Intel based iMac and MacBook respectively, I yesterday hit the small but noticeably issue to get MacNQC to run on it. While the Rosetta environment seems to run MacNQC reasonably fine, it may be (...) (19 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Would this work?

(...) It was only ever really a theoretical project. And then I'd have to come up with a way of connecting possibly nine sensors. If you could control both the positive side and the negative side of the rcx connection you could multiplex 9 outputs (...) (19 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Would this work?

(...) Steve, I don't think connecting the two RCXs through power adaptors will work. I'm not sure the details, but I think the rectifiers in the RCXs will cause problems. To get a common ground, I *THINK* you could connect the negative side of the (...) (19 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Would this work?

I've spotted a slight flaw, fixed in this version. I've added 9 1x2 connector plates. (URL) (19 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)

  Would this work?

I've wanted for a while now to utilise the particular characteristics of the 2x2 Lego plate connectors. To that end I've built an all Lego multiplexer. (URL) I'm wondering now will it actually work? The yellow connectors are the positive inputs, the (...) (19 years ago, 26-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)

problem running LNPD on Debian, LNP programs on the PC side

Hi everyone, I'm doing my thesis using Brickos and LNP on Debian, with a RCX 2.0 and an IR tower USB, LNP because I need to have a constant communication between the pc and several RCXs. I'm using brickos lnpd_0.9.0-1 stable, lnpd_0.9.0-1_i386.deb (...) (19 years ago, 21-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Development status

(...) Santa thinks I haven't played enough with my RCX since I got it, so he won't give me a NXT just yet. ;-) (...) Aside from some signedness warnings and a missing function for converting unsigned to float, brickOS compiles nicely with gcc HEAD. (...) (19 years ago, 25-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: USB Tpwer Problem

(...) John, Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion was the first thing I did. We just found the problem with RCX. It was due to students adding sound to the robot with the line MuteSound().
