Re: RCX as programmable battery charger

In article <NGBBLFNPCLBPEJNIJPO...ibero.it>, lego- robotics@crynwr.com says... (...) This could be done... I think. Learning how it all works is enough of a reason to make a $100 microcontroller charge $10 batteries... The Rcx outputs current limit (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Old LEGO Daca stuff in your closet?

We have a bunch of kids in our school who have been having a great time building stuff with two old LEGO Dacta (PC Controlled, wired) set of parts. Many of them are 1st to 3rd grade, and usually don't get to do our Mindstorms LEGO projects yet. But (...) Tony! Thanks, The spine will be mounted on two Technic Turntables. This will be the main bearing. I'm gonna see if a side twist can be addded. We'll see what kind of room I end up with. But for sure tech from LBB and GG will make it's way into the (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Serial Input

I have a question. I'm working with LegOS, and I want to know how to read serial input through the IR port. I know with other firmware, it's pretty easy to set-up and write serial data out, but I want to read this data back in. Actually, I'm trying (...)   Re: events or infinite loops... which is better?

Rob Something else you should consider is reliability. There used to be a saying: "There are no interrupts on the Space Shuttle". Maybe it's still true. (By "Events", I assume you mean interrupts. Really, using Events is just a design philoshopy and (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Transmission alternatives to IrDa ?
