Re: Some questions that relate to an idea I am thinking about

Here is a Ldraw sketch of such a device that Andy "ABEvans" sent me a while ago: www.philohome.com/ot...angle1.dat This vehicule appeared on Mindstorms inventions site, but I couldn't find it again... According to him, it worked fine. Philo (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lego Cam

I use to work at a place called SuperCircuits.com. It was a few years back, but they sold some transmitters that were the size of quarters and did like 500ft on 900mhz. I have a quick quick question while I'm talking....is 189.00 the price for a (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Some questions that relate to an idea I am thinking about

The idea would be to have mechanical endstops preventing the 'foot' from rotating more than 90 degrees in either direction with some kind of (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Voltage Sensor

Hello, (...) This is a really interesting idea. Make sure to allow a current of roughly 10% of the Z-Diode's maximum rating, even for the lowest battery voltage you are interested in. Then you will have little effect of the pullup or the variation (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Lego Cam

Has anyone tried to convert the Lego Camera into a wireless cam? It should be possible by using a transmitter/ receiver. I was just wondering if someone had some experiences with this they would like to share. Thanks! James C. Jones Technology (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Some questions that relate to an idea I am thinking about

(...) I've always wondered about the possibility of a non-steerable drive system powered by one motor output, with a large 'foot' that could descend from the center of the bot to lift the wheels/treads off the ground (pneumatics?) and a third output (...)   How much current from RCX ports

I see around here, people are playing around with diffrent types of things to put on the RCX output port. Like not orginal lights, motors, bells and so on. Some even puts several motors on one port. How much current can you drain from one RCX port? (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Some questions that relate to an idea I am thinking about

I think what you want is a 4-wheel-steering car; or better yet, a tricycle - one motor for drive, one motor for steer. If you don't want to paint your ceiling, stand the RCX up with the IR port to the sky and you're set. 4WS wouldn't be as easy and (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Some questions that relate to an idea I am thinking about

I need some ideas on how to pull this off. I want to make a robot that can go forwards, backwards as well as stear left and right (perferably in as tight a turning circle as lego will let you go, being able to "rotate" on the spot would be perfect) (...)
