So, the RCX 2.0 is virtually the same as 1.0, right? And I am assuming that the USB tower does work with the 1.0, right? Thanks for your help! -----Original Message----- From: Ralph Hempel [mailto:rhempel@bmts.com] Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 9:30 (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) This is a good deal for a RIS 1.5 system. You can always buy a USB tower if you need one, but for anyone thinking about using alternative firmware on a non-windows machine, the 1.5 with the serial tower is easier to deal with. What is the difference between RIS 2.0 and RIS 1.5? I see at lego.com the RIS1.5 also requires a 9 volt battery. What is this for? the serial tower? a remote control? I know I can find all the details of the RIS 2.0 at (URL) but how about the RIS (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

From my experience, what you are describing is normal behavior for the current version of pbForth. Mr. Hempel has done an excellent job of creating a version of Forth to work with the RCX, but the work is far from complete. If you look at the (...)
