  Re: RIS 2.0 And Target

(...) Keep looking. I've noticed that many Targets here in L.A. tend to rotate what gets clearanced in the stores. These RIS 2.0 sets started getting clearanced back at Christmas and this seems to be another round of clearancing for them. We've had (...) (23 years ago, 12-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Firmware Versions in ROBOLAB 2.0

I've been trying to figure out what firmware is included with ROBOLAB 2.0. The software includes two firmware files, Firmware.txt and Oldfirmware.txt. I ran a file compare and determined that Firmware.txt is actually firm0309.lgo, but I have no idea (...) (23 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RIS 2.0 And Target

Where's your area? In my area, (mpls/stpaul) some targets had it for $99.99, some for $139.99. They've been that way for more than a week, so they're probably all gone by now. I got mine! (...) (23 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  RIS 2.0 And Target

Howdy, New to the list. Thought I'd pass along that Target Stores, at least the ones in my area, are closing out RIS 2.0 for under $100. Kelley (23 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Finding "real" upgrade sets and flex axles on eBay

I had trouble viewing it before too, but I thought I'd give it a try again. When I click on it to view it in the browser, I get an icon with a torn piece of film, which indicates to me it can't play it. So I right clicked and saved it to disk, and (...)   Re: Finding "real" upgrade sets and flex axles on eBay

Hi Liz B, The movie you tried to download is a 3.3meg MOV quicktime movie. Did you have trouble with the download or playing the movie. I could send it to you in an Email if your mail will accept a large file. Let me know. rfay@attbi.com -- Bob Fay (...) (23 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Finding "real" upgrade sets and flex axles on eBay

I've noticed some that buy and turn around and resell the Mindstorms sets on eBay (I'm trying to figure how they profit!). But I have also noticed some, who like me, must be buying for classrooms. There were several auctions where I kept bidding (...) (23 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Microscout assembly?

The only thing that comes to mind is that the metal strips are acting like brushes to connect the power to the commutator of the motor. I opened one of mine and fear restrained me from entering too far. The battery connections are direct to the PC (...) (23 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.microscout)

Liz, I was going to post a statement about everybody winning on my first post, but I couldn't word it nicely so I left it off. I should have tried harder.   Microscout assembly?

One day, while there was nothing to do, I took apart my Microscout (came with the R2D2 droid development kit, or whatever). I had no idea how the motor assembly was connected to the rest of the unit, so this was probably a bad idea. Anyway, I took (...)
