I am hesitant to announce that I've uploaded a new version of BricxCC to my website. This release comes in a full-featured install executable. As a result the download is a bit larger (i.e., 1.6MB). The pictures at (URL) the first we have seen, I believe, of the finished articles. One shot shows a good view of the IR control box with what looks like 5 buttons (L, R, Fwd, Back,. plus a trigger?) and a speed control. Looks like they might be (...) After looking up some component data sheets, I've found myself wondering a few things: 1) The H8/3292 pin 42 connects to the D43256B pin 23. According to data sheets, this is A6 from the H8 and A11 on the RAM. Both data sheets show address numbering (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Actually, it is regulated (speaking as one who has had to replace the fuse that comes before the regulator). Think about it. It has to be. The batteries provide 9V, the MCU requires 5V. If it wasn't regulated, you'd kill it. There is also a (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Stef (...) The IR LEDs are pulsed on and off at 30kHz - that's on top of the 2400bps serial signal. I had to remove that 30kHz signal. That's what the 100nF (on the base of the transistor) is for. The time-constant of the 100nF and the 470R has to (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

the better way to know how the IR work is the legOS kernel source. I read it and see that legOS use IRQ for transmiting and receiving message. Hello everyone! Does anyonk know what the RCX does with IR data it sees from the IR module when it is busy transmitting? I've set the RCX in a situation where I know the IR it was sending could be seen by it's own IR detector, yet it didn't appear (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)
