RE: Wot no RCX power connector?

(...) I don't think so - it looks the same shape as the pictures of RIS 1.0 RCXs I've seen. I doubt they would change the external shape as it would cause problems with plans in expansion kits etc. I expect there's just a lot of empty space inside. (26 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

new pieces (was Re: Wot no RCX power connector?)

From: "Jesper Kjaer" <jesperkj@vip.cybercity.dk> (...) Any idea what the blue brick 4 rows down in the last column is for? It looks very strange. The double yellow connector (3rd column, 12 rows down) is kind of interesting as well. I don't think (...) (26 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Wot no RCX power connector?

(...) HaHaHa - What about the one Dave Baum developed NQC on, and the one you used for LegOS, and the one I used for pbFORTH? I'll bet they would sell as a matched set. I can see it now...... I guess if Kennedy's golf clubs are worth $750,000 these (...) (26 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Wot no RCX power connector?

Thanks very much for posting the scan of the 1.5 bricks. It's helped answer questions we've all had about what "new" stuff would be included. Of course, now we all want to find out exactly what some of them do! I suppose asking for scans of the new (...) (26 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) They use it to connect sensor mountings to the robot chassis in the Constructopedia robots. The chassis and sensor array each have one of those blue things, and they are locked together by the double yellow connector, which can be inserted (...) (26 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: AI and even more exiciting stuff

Well, I was about to ask if someone wanted to write up a simple fixed-point tutorial for my web site (it's a little sparse and could use some articles like this). However, I knew 90 people would come out of the woodwork to point me two tutorials (...) (26 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  IR problem

Hi, I have tried Max Davies irint.icb, ir.c and test.c files, and I'm having problems, after the file test.c are running, I press STOP, and before I can use the remote, the HB make the beep, and print the data as if data were received, any time I (...)   new pieces (was Re: Wot no RCX power connector?)

(...) I'm not sure if this was in the Contructopedia for the RIS 1.0 - but there is 2 pages at the end that shows how to use it - a final pic is here: (URL) description says: This is a prototype so that the inventorbot can move forward and turn (...) (26 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
