*Real* lasers don't even look impressive. It is pracitaclly impossible to get a laser in the visable wavelengths to cut stuff. Usually UV lasers are used for this purpose. Tony- AI is a huge field, encompassing a variety of algorithms and techniques. Some of them will work OK on the RCX, others take just too much computation, especially when floating point is required. What text editors do you guys use to write your IC code? I am on a Windows98 machine and having a real hard time finding one that doesn't add all of the extra formatting. (...) Yes, and no. It is an interpreter, that you can type (or upload) ASCII text to. It then compiles it into an efficient bytecode (really 16 bits) that lets you execute later. Handyboard Community, Has anyone written code for the GP2D02 sensor without the expansion board. I have a group of High school kids that have KISS institute robot kits. (...) I highly recommend TextPad (www.textpad.com). I use it for writing all my C, Java and HTML code. It allows you complete control over formatting (auto-indent, tabs to spaces, etc.) and a multitude of useful tools, including parenthesis (...)
