Re: Great town buildings available as part of Shell Promo sets

(...) Have to agree with Brad H. now that I've picked up all the 11 Shell promo sets. They are in my opinion some of the better Town System sets since at LEAST 1996. I think LEGO may have been targeting us AFOLs with this offering, and since Town is (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.reviews)

Town Person Lost in Space Was: Quick review [of] 7153 Jango Fett's Slave I

(...) Okay, maybe I'm the only one around who didn't find this set a deal, even at $24.88. I also bought it for parts, particularly for the macaroni bricks, figuring there would be enough other elements to make it worth the price. I was wrong. True, (...)   Great town buildings available as part of Shell Promo sets

Shell has a set of 3 different buildings, 1254, 1255, and 1256 available at their stations. These sets are reasonably priced and come chock full of great town pieces. You can get these sets at any Shell station with a $10 fill-up (at least in (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Great town buildings available as part of Shell Promo sets

Brad Hamilton has fairly reviewed these sets, but I had such a positive reaction to them I wanted to make a review. These sets are actually models built from bricks and plates. The presence of the original Shell sticker from 1980 makes me imagine (...) (23 years ago, 14-Aug-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.reviews)

Sorry I meant set 6375 (Gas Station) from 1980. It would be fun to modernize that one with a food store, car wash and tire shop while keeping the style, oh yes... (...) (23 years ago, 14-Aug-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.reviews)

(...) Hi, I like the set 6462, but should admit that helicopter could be nicer if it has longer main rotors and norrower landing skids. Look nice fronm sides (nicer than the picture on the box) but sucks from front or back. Anyway, it is nice to (...) (26 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)
