Well I don't review often but I thought this set (and probably entire
sub-theme) deserve some praise.

This is set 6713- Grip-n-Go Challenge.

Age Range: 7-12
Theme: Town
Sub-Theme: Race

OK now the review.

The Good:
1.  Green Hair
2.  NO pre-fab chasies.
3.  Almost $.10 per part range.
4.  Lots of plates and slopes.
5.  18 Technic 1/2 pegs (The ones with a peg and a nub that works as a stud)
Larry P. you got to love it!!!
6.  Cool new Red Visor piece on Scorpion Guy's helmet.
7.  Not just a set it is also a game.

For the most part there are no real bad parts in this set.  Plus the game looks
pretty fun.  I am going to bring this to the next NELUG meeting so we can
play-test it.  Other then that I really like this set and I would give
playability a 10 out of 10.

The Bad:
1.  Stigma of Town Jr. (which its not)
2.  You get EXTRA wheels to use as goal posts (do we really need more wheels)
3.  Jr'ized packageing.

I am going to HIGHLY recommend this set.  It has cool parts and cool figs.
Plus it just looks way cool.

Thanks for the review. It certainly looks like a fun set with interesting parts. I wonder how you can play with the set, though? I suppose the vehicles can grip the ball? Fredrik (24 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

I also recently purchased this set, and was pleasantly surprised. I fully endorse Eric's review. Very nice set. "Eric Kingsley" <kingsley@nelug.org> wrote in message news:Fv74tx.Kwv@lugnet.com...
