Background:
Well, I headed towards the local TRU to check out the 2000 sets and decided to
buy this one to try out those new wheels.

MODELS: There is only one-
Police car-What can I say? It is Town Jr. Enough said. Okay,
seriously though I have a few Town Jr. sets. The first thing I noticed is that
there were seven steps! Compared to only three for the similarly priced 6325.
Also, it is not a one piece chasis(!). The wheels are big. The hubs are the
same you find on the treaded Artic and Spaceport vehicles and can't mount onto
any regular vehicle bearings, it uses special 2x4 bearings that are basically
two inverted 2x4 angle pieces hooked together on a hinge. The hub also snaps
onto the Adventurer car bearings. It's a basic set none the less.
Overall: A healthy jump for Town (compared to 1998 and 1999), but still a
long way to go.

My views on CITY CENTRE as a theme:
I don't get it. LEGO final has some good ideas (which we had seen in the
1980s), Roadside repair, package delivery truck, mail bike, cycle centre, and
such, but the sets use over simplified pieces that are basicly junk. Please
LEGO, bring back Town! I have nothing against Town Jr., as I see it is being
aimed at a young audience crossing over into DUPLO, but why not offer Town and
Town Jr. together? That would probably satisfy everybody, no?
