I think the whole color issue is pretty difficult to deal with in the case of
the UCS X-wing. The mini-fig X-wing is easy enough to accept in light grey,
but I think a UCS X-wing in all light grey would not look very authentic. I
think TLG should have substituted the seemingly random tans, reds and other
"toy-like" choices with more light grey to avoid the appearance of an amusement
park ride, rather than a Rebel air superiority spacecraft...ya k

| I totally agree that TLG should have used more light gray than they did. When I had finished building mine, I compared it to a picture in the Star Wars Technical Journal by Shane Johnson.
