SET DESCRIPTION

This set was only my second Rock Raiders set. It is comprised of a small
vehicle on skis with a small gray dumper-like piece for hauling a brown rock,
which contains a crystal. It comes with one minifig (Bandit) with red
sweater/pack torso, blue pants, black construction hat, and (finally) a non-
smile face. Tools are:Night-vision Binoculars and a circular saw. The gray
vehicle skis are the same used on new town jr helicopters. This could be made
with four pieces instead of one :( The control tile is pretty neat and could
be used for several things. The lights are made with an dark gray inverted
circle-piece with a neon light inside. (All these new sets have only neon
yellow-what happened to the old yellow light piece?)The front piece is a green
2x3 piece with a Rock Raiders symbol. The base piece is new to me: a raised
circular dark gray 4x4 piece with 2x1 pieces on all sides. The minifig sits on
this in front of the gray dumper piece. The whole thing is powered by two
rocket exhaust pieces in gray. It does provide for some playibility: find the
rock with Night vision Binocs, cut it open with chainsaw, find crystal, put
rock in back, but this can get rather boring and it will soon be taken apart.

SPECIAL ELEMENTS

The gray dumper piece is the same as used on town dump trucks. It was put to
use as a lookout for my WW fort.
The circular piece, I think, is new and made a good helicopter landing spot.
The skis are each 12 studs long and attached to a base. Theywere used on a
chopper later.
The Night vision binoculars are rather difficult to explain, but they were new
to Lego for 1999(first seen in the Snowspeeder, I think?)
