My ReVUE Classic Edition: 6376-Breezeway Cafe

Background: When my first ever S@H catalouge arrived in the mail in 1994, I looked through the pages and this was the first set that stood out. I took out the credit card and placed my order. I love it! Eventually, I would order another one. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews)

My ReVUE Classic Edition: 6482-Resuce Helicopter

Background: I purchased this set MISB from a German onLine toy store after it failed to sell on eBay. Price paid was only $5 over the original retail, but the $22 shipping and insurance was probably why it didn't sell. ---...--- Set Number: 6482 Set (...)   My ReVUE Classic Edition: 6394 -- Metro Park & Service Tower

Background: This is it! The coolest set LEGO town set has ever made (okay, maybe that 6399 is, but I've had that one forever). I purchased this set MISB just two months ago from someone who found one lying around in a store in Italy. I love it! My (...) (25 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 5928 Bi-wing Baron

(...) movie (...) <snips abound> I know this is an old thread, but I just got my Bi-wing Baron today at K- mart for 5 bucks. Not as impressive as the $2 others paid now in retrospect, but I did get it at clearance, and I'm pleased with it. I do love (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Set Review: # 6575 Polar Base (New Arctic Theme)

(...) I think you're right Skipper, those windows look great for space associated usage. As I've been checking out the arctic sets on the shelf and in S@H, I get the feeling that they've been strongly influenced by the Star Wars theme. Those windows (...)   Re: Set Review: # 6575 Polar Base (New Arctic Theme)

I've had this set for about a month now and have incorporated over 90% of the pieces into structures. I think it is an excellent set with a lot of special pieces. I was annoyed with the excessive "bagging" of parts, but this seems typical of all (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Set Review: # 6575 Polar Base (New Arctic Theme)

Ok I have to admit that I was looking forward to the arctic stuff when I saw the preliminary photos online last year. New colors are good, and I basically thought it was a "cool" idea, no pun intended. I picked up #6575 yesterday at TRU, it appears (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

(...) With the brown colour of the cover, perhaps it can be used to depict some kind of wooden structure? Fredrik (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

(...) Once I tried it, it doesn't work as well as it might because the wide town boat bows (as in River Expedition etc) are vertical from the waterline when they merge into the side of the hull, whereas the Loader Dozer cockpit has an inverted slope (...)   Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

(...) I'm gay. You may not realise that the term "homo" is generally taken to be offensive, even when prefaced by "no offence, but..." Kevin FUT off-topic.debate (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

(...) Now that is a great idea! That way, the large cockpit piece is actually useful. The part could probably be used to as a boat bow as well? Apart from the fact that a symmetric boat might look a bit odd. Prior to reading the post, I viewed the (...) (25 years ago, 1-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

  Minireview of 5827 Royal Coach

I just got a bunch of Belville sets, and just finished building the Royal Coach. The coach is built on a 10x21x5.3 base. Only the front bench and the footrest are molded in, the two rear benches are built of bricks and plates. An apparently new (...) (25 years ago, 29-Feb-00, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

(...) So, what's your point? What if or if not? Why do you need to learn someone's sexual preference? Is it your business? Are you a statistician or something? Selçuk (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

[REV] Insectoids: the smaller the better

Just thought I'd ramble on a bit here to kill some time before lunch... I haven't written up a formal review of these guys for my site yet, but while I was in Japan last October I managed to get my hands on the 4 Kabaya candy promo Insectoid sets. (...)   Re: White baseplates

(...) Yes, back in 1993, there was an Ice Planet 2002 set which came with one white 16x32 baseplate... (URL) to .space -- this has absolutely nothing to do with .reviews] (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.space)

  White baseplates

I was flipping through the new S@H catalog that I got yesterday, and happened to get a good look at Arctic set 6575. It's the largest set, some sort of outpost. Anyway . . . it appears that the baseplates are white (which, of course, would make (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.reviews)
