Background:
This is it! The coolest set LEGO town set has ever made (okay, maybe that 6399
is, but I've had that one forever). I purchased this set MISB just two months
ago from someone who found one lying around in a store in Italy. I love it! My
nephew and I have recently been on a shopping spree of old LEGOLand
favourites, aquiring about 20 sets in the past two months, including the most
recent additions, MISB editions of 6349 Holiday Villa, 6373 Motorcycle Sales &
Service, and 6388 Swiss Chalet.

FIGURES: Six. Female Shell attendent, mechanic, motorcycleer, two male
customers, one female customer.
NEW! VEGETATION: short pine tree (x1), white flowers (x2), red flowers (x2)
MODELS: There are five models.
Shell pick-up: I like this cute little model. This one is built from
scratch with no "car baseplate". The bed is not that large at 4x4, but the
vehicle has all the standard fare and a hinged non-sunroof roof. This is by
far the best of the vehicles in the set.
Red motorcycle: Simple three-piece design with square lights. I love
motorcycles.
Blue convertible: All the vehicles share the basic same design, and,
with the exception of colour, contruction is identical in all three for all
but the last two steps. This one is the only convertible in the group. Blue
with black underbody and white rollbars.
Black coupe: This one is the same, in black with red trim, with a
sunroof.
Red coupe: Like the black one. Red with black underbody and white roof
with no sunroof.
Garage-This is it! What a set! I will start with the service station.
It includes a small cool little shop. My only question is, what are they
selling? It is empty. A little modification will do. There are two gas pumps
and and air hose. The gas station is tarped with a red roof that features
three SHELL decals. There is also a canopied mechanics area with tools. In the
fuel station you'll also find neat little touches like a fire extinguisher and
brush to wash your windshield, and a pair of spare tyres. The parking garage
is way cooler. The carwash is basic carwash fare for LEGO. I love it! Outside
of the car wash is a vacum to clean your car's interior first. The elevator
uses a rare piece, a crank mechanisim of sorts in blue which glides along a
gridded track. The second story can hold two cars confortably, and the top can
hold five. On one end of the structure are SHELL and Parking logos, which I
thought was a neat touch. My one complaint is that there are no walls around
the car wash. That is an upcoming modification.
Overall: Wow! A town is a not a town without this one! A must have for any
LEGOLand town collecter, despite it's high price tag. Purchase one and you'll
see why some people pay more than $200 for this set.

My views on CLASSIC TOWN as a theme:
By far the best sets ever made. Why not again LEGO? I love them. Everything
about them is just so wonderful. Detail, piece assortments, variety. Maybe it
will happen again one day.
