  Re: Website hosting and help

Guys, Thanks for all the ideas! Actually, I thought about Ozbircks, but it seems they no longer host :(. So, I think I'm going to try either some free thingamabob (geocities, etc.) or Mocpages.com-it looks good so far. But, I really dont know which. (...) (...) TLC will probably help you if you ask. (...) Go for it. Let people know it is an option. A couple of bucks here and there could make a difference. Jude (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Absolutely. :) I actually spent a lot of time worrying about the legalese, since I know how lawyers can be. (...) I'd thought about incuding a "donate" link on my site, but I didn't want to be presumptuous enough to assume that people wanted (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Todd: Wow, that would be great! I suppose " lugnet.announce.mocpages " would be best -- and any followups or discussions to those announcements could always use lugnet.publish. (Unless you envisioned the need for both groups that you (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Great idea. Looking forward to seeing the final product in production. Don't forget the standard LEGO disclaimer on you site. And don't be afraid to ask for donations, the last thing we would want to see is a great resource taken off-line due (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Website hosting and help

Ok first off, what software are you using to code your pages and what software have you got to ftp (file transfer protocol). Personally I think you ought to first take some time and research web design if you haven't already done so. (URL) is about (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Sean, This sounds like a great service, especially for people who want to build a website but don't know how. Right now I'm happy with my site hosted by ozbricks, but I'd be happy to act as a beta tester for your site. My e-mail is (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Website hosting and help

(...) You will need a server to host your pages. If the software doesn't come with that, then you'll need to find a server that provides FTP access. When I last actually used Geocities, they provided that. You could possibly get an account there and (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs
