Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Todd: Wow, that would be great! I suppose " lugnet.announce.mocpages " would be best -- and any followups or discussions to those announcements could always use lugnet.publish. (Unless you envisioned the need for both groups that you (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Great idea. Looking forward to seeing the final product in production. Don't forget the standard LEGO disclaimer on you site. And don't be afraid to ask for donations, the last thing we would want to see is a great resource taken off-line due (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Website hosting and help

Ok first off, what software are you using to code your pages and what software have you got to ftp (file transfer protocol). Personally I think you ought to first take some time and research web design if you haven't already done so. (URL) is about (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Website hosting and help

Austin, You should also check out www.brickshelf.com. You can get an account for free (In the middle of the screen near the bottom you'll see "Create a new account"). Then you can easily upload images using Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Sean, This sounds like a great service, especially for people who want to build a website but don't know how. Right now I'm happy with my site hosted by ozbricks, but I'd be happy to act as a beta tester for your site. My e-mail is (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Website hosting and help

(...) You will need a server to host your pages. If the software doesn't come with that, then you'll need to find a server that provides FTP access. When I last actually used Geocities, they provided that. You could possibly get an account there and (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) Fantastic! I'm doing the last round of testing myself this week. When I'm done, the site will be ready for "general use" by people such as yourself. Basically, the site should be in working condition, (minus a few things I am working on right (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

(...) I'm interested! (...) I like this idea a lot, as I have seen especially as of late the "shuffle" has been event-oriented. And having reviews with the MOC is a darn good idea! (...) Cool, this also means that there won't be resending of (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Coming soon, Free web hosting for MOCs

Over the past few months I've been building a web service that will allow anyone to create their own mini web site for their MOCs. It's free, you can make unlimited pages, there are no annyoing ads or pop-ups, and it's easy -- you don't even need to (...)   The Aquarium and Soaking Wet are updated

With a new digital camera, the demise of Geekshelf, and some more free time, I've been updating my two Aquazone sites.   Question about links pages

I used to maintain a pretty extensive set of links pages. Since I have relocated, and no longer have an office machine with the master copy of the pages on them for easy editing, I have hardly updated them at all. I now periodically get e-mails (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish)

Hi Larry- The FAQ is duly noted! I'm still relatively new to this posting thing, so I'll be sure to bone up on my LUGNET posting protocol in the future :-) Thanks for the idea to check w/Matt G--it's much apprecaited. I'll summarize his response (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Does anyone know of a LEGO-like font?

Does anyone know of a LEGO-like font?
