But brief synopses would. For example, I cruised a site that wanted me
to order from scanned images of a catalog. Links to each scanned page
were provided. But no mention of the page contents were provided on the
links page. So, to find what I wanted, I had to click into a large
number of pages. Also, each page reference was simply the JPEG image.
So once I was on a page, all I could do was to hit the Back button, and
click another link. That's not a big deal, but having a set of links to
the other pages would have made browsing much easier.

| (...) It depends on the purpose. - For printing I want ~2000x3000 pixel images (preferably not larger than 300kb). - For on-line viewing I want ~550x300 pixel images (60kb seems reasonable for this purpose). - Thumbnails should probably not be (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-99, to lugnet.publish)
