Re: Creating a webpage Was Re: 12 of my favorite pictures of Legoland, CA

(...) <snipped away Brendan's nine excuses> Not to be trite or anything, but "Just do it!" Now while you're on vacation. It won't be absolutely perfect to begin with-- heck, I was tickled to even create a page that only had text! Here was a webpage (...)   RE: Question about posting DAT files here

(...) JPEG is a lossy compression format. This means that in order to compress the file size, the JPEG compression algorithm averages boxes of pixels, losing some data along the way. The higher the compression, the boxier (the more artifacts) it (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.publish)

(...) You mean they gave you a scratch-n-sniff chicken for lunch?? ;^) (...) :-p~ [salivatory response triggered] (...) Nooooo! make it stop! (sobbing) (...) that's true. But we might not get our LEGO back (!!) Lord knows what crawls around those (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

(...) Umm, I don't usually do print stuff (and therefore am mostly talking out of my posterior, here) but I can recommend Micro Print on Bear Hill Rd. in Waltham. I needed something very specific, but didn't know the right terms to put it in, but (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

Dangerously, I got to thinking again... (...) Agreed, definitely no argument. In my mind I was thinking b+1 if anything. I just wanted to acknowledge that it's a bad idea to screen a photo in full- color... you tend to lose the yellows, bright (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

(...) I'm not arguing, just saying.. A screened graphic could travel under date boxes. In which case multicolor wouldn't be out of the question. Percentage varies greatly with ink, screen type, and paper stock. If spec'ing a PMS color for instance, (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

  Re: new feature on peeron.com!

(...) yup - that would be because partsref (and ldraw format) do not have a color yet for Sand* bricks... so it will default to the gray, just to show you the shape, if not the color... Not much we can do about it, besides hope that it'll be fixed (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: new feature on peeron.com!

(...) Ahhh. Very nice. One thing I noticed - the "SandGreen" parts (in 3450) display as grey, at least on my browser. 8?( Regards ROSCO (25 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: new feature on peeron.com!

(...) Wahoo! Excellent! It's great to be able to print the whole thing and take it to the worktable, rather than go back and forth to the computer clicking on (Ref) and (Pic). I've been trying to do this with Excel but it's not near as slick as (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  new feature on peeron.com!

We're happy to announce a new feature on the inventories at peeron.com. You can now, when viewing an inventory, have pictures of each part shown. Of course, that's only if a picture is available, either on peeron or on partsref. To try it out, just (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.publish) !!

  Re: Greatest Hits page

(...) Hi Kevin, Nice feature indeed, but there are things that I can't understand. Browsing through the greatest hits pages, I saw my own photo (my "me" page) and quite amazed (Am I this much popular..:-)!.. Than I suspiciously checked for hits and (...) Hi all, Its been for some time but I cant remember where I did read the FOTW call. But I think its evident to post it here. II was lucky enough to get from an acquaintance a few LEGO books, listed below. I could nt miss the chance to make this (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Greatest Hits page

Kevin I wasn't sure if you were doing maintenance or not. I have been getting server errors for the last hour or so. It is about 2 in the morning so I figured I may be down for some reason. The only reason I would be doing this at this hour is (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Greatest Hits page

Hi Kevin, The results of the second query (the one with the most views) makes sense to me. However, the second one has some really strange results. It brings up two folders of mine (the Bricktopia power plant and the ExoScraper). When I originally (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Greatest Hits page

(...) Clear as a pint of room-temperature Guinness in a pitch-black pub at midnight, thankyouverymuch. My head hurts now, so I'm just gonna' go look at the purtyful pictures on BrickShelf, rock slowly in my chair, and hum quietly to myself. Matt 8?) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Greatest Hits page

(...) Yes, in other words, if you access "gallery.cgi?f=xxxx" then folder xxxx get s on more hit. If you access "gallery.cgi?i=xxxx" then file yyyy gets one more hit. Also if you access "gallery.cgi?m=asdfasf" then user "asdfasdf" gets one more hit. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Greatest Hits page

(...) O.K. So "Or are we seeing the actual times the individual 'view' (folder, file, page)" was a correct answer instead, right? So check me on this (sorry to bug, but I'm *confused*): The hierarchy of BrickShelf pages goes from left to right/top (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)
