Not to be trite or anything, but "Just do it!"  Now while you're on vacation.
It won't be absolutely perfect to begin with-- heck, I was tickled to even
create a page that only had text!  Here was a webpage up on the Internet and I
put it there!  I thought that was totally cool!

The only problem is that I am confused as to where I should begin.  Mabye
the solution is to take some sort of class or at least have someone come and
help me out personally.  I am just not sure!

Personally I would think a class was a waste of time because in a few hours to
a few days tops you could get something passable up yourself.  And the danger
of having someone help you is that they may end up simply doing your page for
you-- where is the feeling of satisfaction in that?  Plus you don't want to
have to call someone everytime you want to tweak your page!

If you really feel you need a webpage you will find a way.  What made me learn
about it was the desire to spruce up my eBay auctions a bit.  Then I didn't
want the generic Brickbay page so I played around with that. (I've never
changed the original, so you can see how sophomoric my work is-- but I don't
care-- I'm still proud that I did it myself!)

BTW the Laura LeMay book I mentioned is now in a next edition, so you should
easily be able to find her superceded stuff at the library to check out.  And
if you want more advice, check out this old thread started by one of our more
illustrious Lugnet members:

I would say she's come a long way!

What, fut to .publish?  I thought that was books-- shows how clueless I am

Hello! (...) I really don't have a clue where to start with a webpage. It just seems like it will take forever and there are so many details to mess with...details that I think will end up forgetting in the long run that will be crucial to the (...)
