Re: LEGO Maniacs' guide on adequate.com

(...) No, I don't think that was it (I never was on rtl). I think it was just the fact that *I* hadn't been there for awhile, made me think for some reason that it was abondoned. But I was obviously wrong. :-) (...) <nod> I know what it's like to (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.publish)

Re: LEGO Maniacs' guide on adequate.com

(...) Maybe you were thinking of the rec.toys.lego review site run by Joshua Delahunty (no relation to me). Unfortunately, that site hasn't had new reviews in a few years. I've got some other new reviews written and submitted in the last couple days (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.publish)

  LEGO Maniacs' guide on adequate.com

I just happened to land across the LEGO Maniacs' guide ( (URL) ). I hadn't been there for at least a year or even two, which is a long time on internet timeframes... I was surprised to see that the site had some really updated reviews, including a (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.publish)

  Updated Webring Page

Re: THE KINGDOM OF ANDRASTAVIA.......COMING SOON

(...) Definitely. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Kev's a graphic arts designer, huh, huh? ;-) Well I love it nonetheless. The castle looks amazing, and the collage gives it that 'feel' I think you're talking about... that adventurous, (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Copyrights

Thanks, Don and Chris. That clears things up for me, now! :) --Ryan (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Copyrights

(...) Hi Ryan, I meant to reply before, but forgot until I saw Don's response to you. Basically, if you're not planning on making money from the Web pages, don't bother registering. Most copyright litigation boils down to total lost income... Chris (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Copyrights

(...) Under US law, you secure your copyright simply by fixing the notice. You can also register your copright, which can give you some advantages, but it is not necessary for you to register to retain your rights. If you are in the US, you should (...)   Re: THE KINGDOM OF ANDRASTAVIA.......COMING SOON

(...) Ya rotter. You come to my place, you ooh and ahh over my castle, and the whole time you've got this beauty sitting under your hat. ;) Very cool looking. You've done an excellent job of capturing a 'feel' - When Raven saw it, she wondered if it (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.publish)

  Copyrights

I'm working on building my website, and I have a question about copyrights. I know many people have a copyright notice on their web pages, and I was wondering if anyone actually registers their copyrights. Is it enough to merely have the notice? Any (...)   Community to design new LEGO T-shirts

Brad Justus of LEGO Direct approached us last week with a bold new idea: He would like to allow the community to design its own collection of LEGO branded items, to be sold online by The LEGO Company through a third party such as CafePress.com, with (...)   Legoland Windsor Photo Gallery

I recently took a vacation to London with my folks, and Legoland Windsor was on the list of places to visit. I'm in the process of creating my webpage for the whole vacation, but Legoland Windsor was on the second day, and therefore is "done" (well, (...)   Re: Where is the webring when I need it...

No sweat, Tim - I understand you're busy. I think you should give the Webring a new look when it's done, it'd be cool (er)! -Admiral of the Fleet Grant Macmillan (25 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.org)

  Re: Personal page

(...) You are correct, good (or at least sensible) layout and artwork are just about essential if you want people to enjoy your site, although to say that "boring simplicity" is bad is not always true. For example, your content may be of great (...) (25 years ago, 8-Nov-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Personal page

(...) Tim, first of all your personal site doesent suck at all, its pretty good. But it does look like a whole school of similar sites on the internet. There are 2 different diametrically opposed camps on site design. The Jacob Neilson camp (which (...) (25 years ago, 8-Nov-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Personal page

(...) Be very carefull in making small text. Parts of Lugnet are very difficult for me to read (and I like small text). Part of that of course is that I've already set my font size small. Remember, most folks seem to like "large print" (I've finally (...) (25 years ago, 7-Nov-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Personal page

(...) You mean based on URL? Yeah I thought that might look like I was being a little nasty but I consider Vince Flanders to be one of the best in web design knowledge. Seriously, I did not mean to seem mean by choosing that URL Tim. (25 years ago, 7-Nov-00, to lugnet.publish)
