I’ve been away on vacation for a couple weeks and a little out of the loop.
Does anyone know if/when the Viking line will be available in the US?
I searched for info on Lugnet but didn’t find much. The Brickfest 2005 keynote
speech mentions the line being a Toys R Us exclusive, but no mention of when we
can expect these sets in stores or on the Toys R Us / Amazon website.
I thought there was also the idea that the Viking line *would* be available to
US customers via LEGO’s website, but sadly this does not seem to be the case.
Are they available through the catalog maybe? Thanks for any help.

| (...) Hi Brendan, The Viking sets will be available on SAH and at Toys R Us beginning in October. At fest we all got a small leaflet advertising the sets at TRU in October. This was confirmed in Jorgen Vig's speech and when the Classic-Castle admins (...) (19 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

| (...) Hey Brendan, I've got no official word, but the word from Brickfest (which I was not at, so this is second-hand) was that these will be in TRU stores in October. I still think they will also be available through S@H, so I think "TRU exclusive" (...) (19 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Someone from Lego (I'm pretty sure it was Jake) said, during his presentation, that the Vikings would be available from S@H "by the end of the year". So I guess (...) | Thanks to everyone for the info on the Viking sets. Looks like I won't be able to put them on my wishlist for my birthday in early September, but I am certainly glad to hear that these sets *will* be available in the US.
