They look pretty cool!

Thanks for the link, Bruce!

I'm not crazy about the speckled plastic used for the boulders and armor,
but the set designs look excellent!  It bugs me to see so much Bionicle (in
the dragons), and I understand it's all part of the same system, but I'd
rather have more click-hinges.

Still, the bevy of new and very groovy-lookin' parts and what looks like a
return to much better set design more than outweighs these nitpicks of mine!

Does anyone know if/when the Viking line will be available in the US?

I searched for info on Lugnet but didn't find much.  The Brickfest 2005
keynote speech mentions the line being a Toys R Us exclusive, but no
mention
of when we can expect these sets in stores or on the Toys R Us / Amazon
website.

I thought there was also the idea that the Viking line *would* be
available
to US customers via LEGO's website, but sadly this does not seem to be
the
case. Are they available through the catalog maybe?  Thanks for any help.

Hey Brendan,

I've got no official word, but the word from Brickfest (which I was not
at, so
this is second-hand) was that these will be in TRU stores in October.  I
still
think they will also be available through S@H, so I think "TRU exclusive"
means
it won't be in Target etc.

These are already available in Europe, btw.  Check some of the

set pictures on Eurobricks>.

BTW, you should really check out the new printed tile in the HP Durmstrang
Ship
set (also not yet available in the US but released in, I believe, Britain
as an
early release).  Hmm, can't find a picture of just the tile, but it's in
<http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1344488 this pic>.  I can
imagine those would be very helpful for the BT.
