  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

The big bore, the solid clunky wheels, the "ribbed" look caused by the multiple parts, and heavy support all combine to make these look more like medieval cannon than Pirates appropriate, but I do like them, nevertheless. -->Bruce<-- (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

(...) Hey Daniel, I'm so glad you liked my cannon idea and used it in creating your own! Thanks for mentioning me and linking my website. I like your all silver cannon. I'm looking forward to seeing them in your ship. Those parts are really tough to (...) (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Very nice! I love the shape of these! These will make a great addition to any ship or fortification. -Elroy (20 years ago, 17-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  My New Silver Cannons.

I have finally finished my silver cannons for a ship I am planning to make in the future. It was not my idea, I was inspired by Tom Reed's creation "Booming Betty": (URL) as soon as I saw his cannon, I wanted to make one too. I searched for months (...)   Vignette - Admiral's Quarters

The Admiral has been locked inside his swanky cabin so long, I think the poor old fellow is going a little crazy. But, at least he's got a nice room to go nuts in. (Heck, insanity is a great way to pass the time!) ;-) (URL) -Mike "Count Blockula" (...)   Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) I hope that happens with all of the +4 pirate sets... I want them all cheap. (...) I like that you acknowledge the fact that they are made for 4 year olds. A lot of people seem to forget that and start complaining at the "bad quality" of the (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.year.2004)

Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) I personally can't wait for it to be in stores here. If it's $40 I'll probably buy a few. I can't wait to see what I can do to it. (...) I was planning to do the same thing. I like the hats, but not the figures. I like how the figures have a (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) Unfortunately I don't have my camera right now, so I can't post pictures. The hull pieces are attached to each other by a SPECIAL connection; each hull has a male connector-plate in one side, and a similar female hole in the other side - so (...)   Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) Thanks for posting the review. I've been wanting to find out more about this vessel, but unwilling to part with hard earned cash (so far) for it. (...) I'm interesting in taking the dremel equivalent to the figs and salvaging the headgear for (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

Well, I've waited some months, but finally this ship was on deep discount. First: it IS a JacStone set, so as expected, there are ugly figs and lots of big pieces. It's intended for 4-year old kids, and indeed there is hardly anything in it that is (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.year.2004)

There's nothing like a visit to a maritime museum to inspire some building, the .pirate stuff will take longer to realise, but this little vessel came together quite quickly.   Re: HM Cutter Swallow

(...) And I've finally swung the spyglass onto it! (...) Good move! (...) Nice to see it being used! The Lego cannons do seem to be overwhelmingling large when used with the narrow hulls. (...)   HM Cutter Swallow

Hello All, No one has posted any new MOC's to .pirates recently, and I remembered I hadn't uploaded these yet, so here they are.   Re: Question about quality of Best Lock...

(...) I have the $20 Best-Lock pirate ship (the regular, not skeletal one) sitting on a shelf. The Short Review: Ain't as good as LEGO. The figs can be tossed. The cannon mountings are excreble. The bowsprit is wobbley. The half-height bricks make (...) (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.pirates)
