Well, I have three of the junks already and have parts to build 6 or more
cutters. So, no problems there. The real problem is going to be getting bigger
ships. The large boats are hard to find and expensive. I might have to build
mine for the ground up.

I have a question about guns. How should I mount them? Broadsides or pivots is
the main question.

(...) It depends on whether you are going to play it as an adventure/role-playing game, or a fleet battle game. For the former, starting with one-gun "cutters" (see previous suggestions) is probably the best way to go. Real pirates usually had (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.pirates)
