  Re: idea for Pirates spin-off

That sounds good. However, given that the Spaniards wiped out the Aztecs I'm not sure about how PC it is(?). Would the Spaniards also be armed with the common cold? Scott A (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  idea for Pirates spin-off

A recent post about by Richard Marchetti gave me this idea ... it would be interesting if LEGO recycled the Spanish Armada from the pirate lego to make a Discovery theme, with the Spanish vs. the Aztecs. The Spaniards would have fleets and forts, (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: $22.50 a good price for #6296 (Shipwreck Island)?????

That's maybe slightly pricey--I just saw one last set at a local comic shop for $27.99 Cdn (about $19 US). Methinks I shall buy it. :) -- Paul Davidson, aka Tinman (URL) "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: How many Armada sets?

(...) There are a number of sets from '96-'97 that include "Armada" figures, but only two specifically labeled Armada. Bruce (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: How many Armada sets?

Paul - I noticed that too. As a matter of fact, I've only got two Armada sets - the Sentry and Flagship. Maybe that's all there is, like you said. I wouldn't be surprised. Ed (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  How many Armada sets?

I was browsing Lugnet and could only find two Armada sets from the Pirate system. Is that all that were made? -- Paul Davidson, aka Tinman (URL) "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine." (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Dear LEGO: Pirate wish list

(...) One of our KB Toys has a bunch of these. One thing I'd be more than willing to do is pick some of these up in trade for 5561s which our KB Toys don't seem to have. Another decent source of 10 wide hill bits is 5976 River Expedition. If you (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Dear LEGO: Pirate wish list

(...) Oooh, much larger. For a ship at half-scale the size of Victory, though, you'd need a hull about 32-36 studs wide...you might be able to put together a good brigantine or small frigate at 24 studs. ;) LFB. (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.pirates)
