Why only 16 studs wide eh?  What the world needs is ships. GREAT, BIG,

higher than the existing ones (maybe another four or five bricks).  And
brown - the hulls were brown and black!  I know this idea in particular is
ridiculous - we can barely afford the 16 stud hulls.  But the post said • get

You eman the size of the black seas baracuda hulls? or larger?

Oooh, much larger.  For a ship at half-scale the size of Victory, though, • you'd
need a hull about 32-36 studs wide...you might be able to put together a good
brigantine or small frigate at 24 studs.  ;)

Most of the large ships that I have seen are around 40 guns, but with two gun
decks, and Frigates only have one.  So to get a large single gun-deck frigate
of 40 guns or so, you'd have to go larger than the current 16 wide hull, so
even larger than that for a ship-of-the-line.  16-20 wide would do for a small
frigate, 24-28 for a large, so 32-36 sounds like it might do for a
ship-of-the-line.  Doing a triple-decked 1st class would be one heck of a
project.  I wonder if the current masts and rigging would be adequate to the
task.  Fwoosh!  I'm happy with my itty-bitty rum-runners at the moment.  :-)
