  Re: Lavender Brick Society

(...) As this is directly topical for LUGNET discussion, and there's not even anything to debate, it doesn't belong in .off-topic.debate. Right? And if you do start a club, wouldn't it fall under the .org. hierarchy?   Re: Lavender Brick Society

Hi teddy, I have absolutely no problems with me being gay in this community. But I'd love to be a Lavender Brickette :-) Since I'm in the Netherlands, I don't have any issues with acceptance or something, but it would be nice to exchange thoughts (...)   Re: Lavender Brick Society

(...) Personally I don't see the reason to start labelling people into groups such as this, I can't see why just everyone regardless of who they are, where they are from and what they look like can't just do the same as everyone else, why does (...)   Lavender Brick Society

I've been kicking an idea around for a while, and I wanted to put it out to the community: I'd like to start an organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) AFOLs. A lavender brick society, if you like. It's seemed to me that (...)   Re: More on attracting new fans/ was Sleeper brainstorms

I guess advertising is expensive. However, Is there any way lugnet could be mentioned in the lego catalogs? If it already is, I haven't seen it. (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.people)

  New member Nathan Bell

I would just like to say hello to everybody. My name is Nathan Bell, and I am user Radarbell on Brickshelf.com. I am somewhat confused as to where to go to discuss topics or how to communicate with lego builders. If someone can email me how to, that (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.people)

I am still looking for ideas on how we can drive awareness of the LEGO community and activate the talents of the fans already involved. If you've got ideas, suggestions, gripes...whatever...please post. Your feedback is wanted. Ashley (20 years ago, 10-Sep-04, to lugnet.people)

Great LDraw work on Brickshelf and a Request

I've been surfing Brickshelf for LDraw renderings to use in a project I'm working on. I've found some great stuff: (URL) Some of these galleries I've seen before and some I haven't. (...) Dave! Cute pic, it made my Monday! I think you should use it for your BrickLink ID or collage pic in place of that boring generic fig! Maggie C. (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.people, lugnet.fun, FTX)

  Young fan

The second thing you'll notice in (URL) picture> is the LEGO Universal Builder Set under the coffee table. After this (URL) Police car>, I'm just about certain that it's the first LEGO set I ever owned. Dave! (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.people, lugnet.fun, FTX)

  Re: Dave Lovelace

(...) At least the site says, "Yes, he will be OK, there are no other injuries besides the compound fracture," which is good news. From the sound of the most recent entries, it sounded a lot worse than that. (20 years ago, 19-Aug-04, to lugnet.people, FTX)

Re: Sleepers and Talent Brainstorm Invitation

(...) I advertise when I do railway exhibitions. It seems to attract some interest, even from those who still just have a box of Lego in the loft or for their kids. (...) I intend my brickshelf gallery to be a resource for others. People only have (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.people)

Re: Sleepers and Talent Brainstorm Invitation

(...) I hear this, and the only thing I can think of is: BE SEEN. Perhaps we should expand showing/displaying LEGO to just being nuts about it. We all have Fest shirts, etc - make sure every time you go out, you're wearing one. Lugnet or LEGOFan (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.people)

  Sleeper brainstorms

Per my previous post for brainstorms, here's an example of some ideas to attract new members. Notice that the list is pretty diverse and to some it may be radical. Feel free to read, but try to bridle your feedback for now! Attracting Sleepers and (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.people)

  Sleepers and Talent Brainstorm Invitation

Per my announcements at BrickFest DC, here is a follow up regarding the brainstorming sessions that were postponed. Your ideas and explorations are wanted regarding these two questions: 1.
