I advertise when I do railway exhibitions. It seems to attract some interest,
even from those who still just have a box of Lego in the loft or for their kids.

I intend my brickshelf gallery to be a resource for others. People only have to
look at the pictures and ask me to get the explanation.
I suggest that building standards be kept flexible, so as to allow more people
to meet the standards and so feel involved. Too often standards are developed
quickly by a few keen people, while others need to take longer to think it over.
It then becomes too exclusive and I feel put off. Perhaps newcomers would be
put off more easily by this. I have my own personal standards and have remained
separate from the group standard. That way the constraints are mine and I am
not restricted by anyone else! We need to encourage free creative building,
especially in newcomers. Before anyone decides to build to a standard they need
to be actively building!
