Re: Brick versions over the years

(...) I even have quite a few transitional ABS bricks with the old font, or at least a different type of stud decoration. (...) These are the years I was ignorantly calling "vintage". Sorry if I gave you the impression that I was talking about (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts)

Re: Brick versions over the years

(...) Thanks, Gary! I had the feeling someone else out there would be interested in this. Good to know I am not the only person to take an interest in vintage brick variations. :) (...) Has anyone tried to contact TLC in this matter? They ought to (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts)

Re: Parts I like to see for real

(...) I remember that thread Allan, great thread! I especially liked your regular/low sloped concave corner brick. Yeah that 4x4 corner brick was pretty cool. It was introduced by TLG in November of 1954 (no tubes underneath), got tubes in 1958, and (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

Re: Parts I like to see for real

Hi Jaco, (...) I'm with you.... there are some parts I'd enjoy seeing as well. (...) Here's a part I'd love to see. And like your question/request about the 1x5 brick and plate, I am also curious to know why such a seemingly 'basic' part has never (...)   Re: Brick versions over the years

(...) Hey, sorry I usually don't hang around these here "parts". :-) Well you guys ask (and answered) some really tough questions.... In my (still!) upcoming Lego CD I will be discussing Lego parts mainly from 1949-80, although for some items I go (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts)

Re: Brick versions over the years

(...) Some parts are tracked in the Peeron database as to when they changed, like the "Plate 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical" (4085a, 4085b, 4085c), which had 3 versions (Type 1: 1979-1987, Type 2: 1987-1992, Type 3: 1993-present). Other types of changes, (...) (20 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts)

Re: Brick versions over the years

The group is far from dead. Maybe no one has an answer, wants to answer, or hasn't read the post yet. The only person that I could think of offhand to answer your question since I can't answer (and probably not alot of people can answer that (...) (20 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts)

Re: Brick versions over the years

(...) OK, no reply in 3 days, and my message is still the most recent post. I guess this group is dead. >Sigh< Stefan G (20 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts)

  Brick versions over the years

Has anyone made a summary of when the type of bricks changed over the years? I recently got hold of a large unsorted but very nice auction lot from the late 70s to early 80's, around the time when the mould design changed quite rapidly and often (...) (20 years ago, 19-Aug-05, to lugnet.parts)

  Re: LEGO hubs?

(...) Ah! Wow, okay. Thanks. (sorry 'bout the URL, BTW) -Suz (20 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.parts)

  Re: LEGO hubs?

(...) I think Suz is refering to this... (it took me a while to find it...) (URL) yes these are Lego wheels from the latest make and create car set.. Jeff VW (20 years ago, 26-Jul-05, to lugnet.parts)

  Re: LEGO hubs?

(...) The link you provided doesn't appear to show anything. Maybe you should provide a non-image link? -Orion (20 years ago, 26-Jul-05, to lugnet.parts)

  LEGO hubs?

Are these LEGO wheel hubs? I don't recognize them. (URL) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-05, to lugnet.parts)

LEGO magnets Re: MOC Chess Set

(...) I picked up some samples of these after posting my message. These are a perfect fit. The smaller magnet fits under tiles and plates with no problem, as it’s just a bit shorter then a stud. And the diameter for these is a perfect fit for the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

  Re: tobacconist's parts

(...) Thanks for the info on the TAXA/TAXI Anders. KIOSK and CAFE are also found in some Swedish parts packs. The Shell sign is from one of the Shell sets (#325, #648, etc). The VW Service is from the #306/#1306 VW Garage set, but may also have been (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.general)

  Re: tobacconist's parts

(...) I have those four, SPECERIER and POST with red letters, TOBAK with black and cursive, GARAGE with thin black letters. Are they for different versions of the set, or where the letters of different style on the different signs? (...) I think (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jul-05, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.general)

  Question about metal parts

How many types of metal crane/tow hooks has LEGO produced? I found such a hook in a recent lot, and I'm not sure if it's actually LEGO or something that the previous owners tied to a LEGO element. Thanks for any insight. Dave! (20 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.parts)

  Re: tobacconist's parts

(...) This should probably be "BANEGÅRD" and "KØBMAND", although you may be aware of this already. In Denmark they write "HOTEL", and not "HOTELL", so this is correct. Fredrik (20 years ago, 28-Jun-05, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.general)
