  Re: Which glue?

(...) I've found cyanoacrylate 'Super Glue' isn't good at holding LEGO together for long. But, this is mainly down to the shiny surface of parts. Where I've sanded the edge of a push switch and fitted it into a train controller, it's an incredibly (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts.mod)

Re: round brick 1x1 transgreen with solid stud

(...) I put the granular trees in the sets thinking people just wanted to keep those. I was wondering if any ever came with the tree or the sellers just were not willing to give them up. I know that the granular trees came an went very quickly, they (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts)

In lugnet.parts, John Patterson wrote: <SNIP> (...) John, many of the LEGO sets of the first half of the 1970's had those granular trees until 1974, when the models switched to conical Pine trees. You just happen to have later versions of those (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts)

Re: round brick 1x1 transgreen with solid stud

(...) Like I said, post over there if you are looking for a part. Lots of times somebody will have one that they will list specially for you. Tim (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts)

  Re: Which glue?

(...) As Aaron States, the use of MEK was BANNED from the Lego modelshops back in 1998, and GBL was introduced. Many health issues were being presented and an article written in the LEGO REVIEW magazine, a corporate magazine spoke about the (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Re: round brick 1x1 transgreen with solid stud

(...) Thank you, thank you, thank you. I bought them both. They got to be rare at this point.I still wonder if they were put into sets. There is a granular tree on one of the houses, in the 350 range and I have several and none came with the tree on (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts)

Re: round brick 1x1 transgreen with solid stud

(...) There are currently two for sale on BrickLink: (URL) is a different site with different search methods. Easy once you get it, but it can be a bit baffling at first. Post there or here if you need help with it. Tim (18 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts)

Re: round brick 1x1 transgreen with solid stud

(...) Thanks Bryan: I have not found any on bricklink and have looked and looked. If you see one someday let me know. Thanks again John P (18 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts)

round brick 1x1 transgreen with solid stud

round brick 1x1 transgreen with solid stud: has anyone ever seen one? I have found it listed in several instructions but every set that it listed has the hollow stud. I am wondering if they ever made it, or it was introduced when the hollow stud (...) (18 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts)

  Re: peeron inventory update

(...) It is certainly wlcomed by me. Splitting the 2x2 turntables is hard but now I don't have to do it :D For kids it's just one more stage of construction so I don't see it as a problem unless the parts are hard to put together (in which case (...) (18 years ago, 24-Mar-07, to lugnet.parts)

  Re: peeron inventory update

(...) Hi, Parts coming in two separate pieces rather than assembled is of course not a quality problem but a cost issue for TLC. This kind of "unassembled" parts has started with the head and torso of minifigs and the train wheels. I would not be (...) (18 years ago, 24-Mar-07, to lugnet.inv, lugnet.parts)

Re: New mold for classic windscreen (part # 3939)!

(...) Thanks, but I see Jim has posted a picture elsewhere :) Not sure why I don't seem to be able to view your site, it's happened on more than one occasion. I'm guessing it's a mis-configured router somewhere along the way - currently it reaches (...) (18 years ago, 18-Mar-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts)

Re: New mold for classic windscreen (part # 3939)!

(...) Actually, I guess I did post about that already, but I didn't find the right group: (URL) However, I didn't realize that it was actually a new part - I just thought there was a mix up with the Peeron inventory. Anyway, neat! Jim (18 years ago, 17-Mar-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts, lugnet.inv)

Two little but interesting things about the box art

Replying to my own post, *sigh* Dontcha hate it when you forget to mention stuff and then you gotta type more stuff and then proofread that new stuff? Anyway, interesting item #1: the part (#3939) shown on the front cover of the box is the previous (...) (18 years ago, 17-Mar-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts)

New mold for classic windscreen (part # 3939)!

Hey all, Bought a copy of #4939 Cool Cars yesterday for all the 1x1 angled bricks in yellow, black, and trans-black/smoke and I was very surprised to see that the mold for this classic piece has been changed! Was more surprised to find that after (...) (18 years ago, 17-Mar-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts)

This is SPARTA!!! Figure from the "300"

Well the title pretty much says it all. I created decals to make the Spartans from the new film the "300." I utilized RedBean's Spear, Helmet, and Shield to really pull this figure together, decaling the lambda on the shield. (URL) Image is (URL) (...)
