Okay, there's been a new factor that developed concerning my participation
this weekend. I started to have problems with my back again. I haven't had
any in over two years, but it came back two days ago. I just went to my
doctor for treatment and it looks like I'm going to have to take it easy for
a few days. What that means is that I don't need to be driving long
distances and lifting and toting items around. Therefore, I have to
withdraw from attending the get together this weekend.
This wasn't an easy decision, but the way things are going for me it's
probably the best. I hate that I've spent so much time building and
preparing for the meeting. I also hate that I have a bunch of stuff that I
wanted to bring to sell, etc.!
I also have come to the conclusion that these long distance trips are just
not working out for me. This is the second time I've had to cancel my
attendance. I don't like that! That's not my nature! Therefore, I decided
that I'm not going to try and make any more meetings. If a local group in
town decides to form then I may try and join. Otherwise, I will offer my
support, but I won't be participating anymore with this organization.
I think you guys are great and I will miss seeing the things you build in
person. Hopefully, I will still get to see some of them on brickshelf,
etc.! I've really enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you. Everyone has
been very nice.
I wish all of you the best and I hope you have a good time this weekend.
I'll be thinking of you and wishing that I could see my moonbase mocs joined
with all the others. They really look lonely by themselves!
