(...) We will be using the standard tables at the library. I believe they are about two feet wide, and approximately 6 feet long. The corner radius is pretty tight, perhaps one inch. I think the maxi-challenges should be competitive. I certainly see lots of value in building and demonstrating noncompetitive robots but I think the maxi and mini challenges should be at least somewhat competitive. Here is an idea that I have (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Here's another maxi-challenge example: build and program a production line - an automated assembly line that builds some little LEGO 'sculpture', say a tiny car, boat, plane, Santa Claus, duck, or penguin, or whatever else strikes your fancy.
