This could be a lot of fun -- I hope someday we can find a way to have an
official NELUG clubhouse somewhere, for random and short-notice gatherings
and stuff. :)
Which reminds me, when you mention about a common collection: We have
something like a 45-pound box of LEGO (all types of pieces, all in excellent
and virtually brand-new condition) that was originally going to be targeted
toward Jamabalaya boxes to help that get going way-back-when if it needed
help, but I think we might end up donating all or part of it to NELUG if it
would help NELUG become more building-oriented (if that's what people want;
I'm happy with it being either building-oriented or purely social, either way,
or any mix). It could also be a basis for a couple of local Jambalaya-style
swapmeets. There are lots of goodies in the box and I'm sure people would
find things they'd like to have.
