  Brikwars Suggestion/Question...

I want to make a suggestion and see what some of you think about it. I had so much fun doing the Tek 2 game with the lead in storyline and quest. For me that was much more fun than the seat of the pants blow up everything games (although I can see (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Meeting July 31 or August 1?

(...) This sounds really good to me. Either date is fine. I'd be happy to relate activities / discoveries from my trip to BrickFest then. -Suz (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Meeting July 31 or August 1?

I'm interested as well. Either date works for me. - Joe "Eric Kingsley" <kingsley@nelug.org> wrote in message news:GGKt7r.3Ev@lugnet.com... (...) 7/31 or (...) "Theme" (...) if we (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Meeting July 31 or August 1?

I guess its that time again. Anyone interested in a meeting on Tuesday 7/31 or Wednesday 8/1? If so is one date better than another for anyone. My guess is that the particulars would be as usual with no particular "Theme" to the meeting. Athough the (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  New Train Show date possibility...

I just recieved a packet of information from Greenberg Shows and they have added a new Train Show in Providence, RI on January 5-6. Is anyone interested in doing this show? We have kind of dismissed the Hartford Show mostly because of Travel and the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.loc.us.ri)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

(...) Umm, I don't usually do print stuff (and therefore am mostly talking out of my posterior, here) but I can recommend Micro Print on Bear Hill Rd. in Waltham. I needed something very specific, but didn't know the right terms to put it in, but (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

Dangerously, I got to thinking again... (...) Agreed, definitely no argument. In my mind I was thinking b+1 if anything. I just wanted to acknowledge that it's a bad idea to screen a photo in full- color... you tend to lose the yellows, bright (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

I do think this should get rolling ASAP if we want to do it. But I'd like to hear a few more people chime in with interest to help before considering this a reality.. I'll be away until Monday. Meanwhile, if interest is here, folks could think about (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

(...) I'm not arguing, just saying.. A screened graphic could travel under date boxes. In which case multicolor wouldn't be out of the question. Percentage varies greatly with ink, screen type, and paper stock. If spec'ing a PMS color for instance, (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

[Previous msg clipped for space] Hi, I realize I'm a neo-NELUGer and outside the group but I can't help but chime in, too. I hope this is okay. (...) A well composed collage may look nice, too. Also, maybe if each month was treated graphically to go (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

(...) wow. I think Shaun's excited.. I just want to mention a couple of production things. * don't do anything yet. :-) * I thought about the multi-pic layout also, but I kinda hope to keep the whole thing to 24 images or less. Otherwise it gets a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

(...) I think this is a fantastic idea! I'd love to see this come about! (...) I think we have enough of everything under our collaborative belts to be able to include quite a bit - more on this in a minute, but I think we might be able to have (...)   Re: 2002 NELUG wall calendar

Suz, Great idea, if nothing else I think this would be a lot of fun to put together. (...) Of your ideas I like the "diversity" idea and the "prior activities" ideas best. Although it would be hard to get high quality/profesional photography done (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  2002 NELUG wall calendar

Here's a project I always wanted to do.. an AFOL-themed calendar. I'm imagining that we could make one together, as a club. This could be done in the spirit of a previous discussion, suggesting NELUG hold a group-wide theme build. Conversely, it (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Just 100 posts away…

(...) Nope, no contest…. Just happy to see the phenomenal growth of our group. (...) And yes, I too believe in quality over quantity. That’s why I'm so impressed with rtlToronto’s development!   Re: Just 100 posts away…

(...) I wasn't even aware there was a contest. There's no point to artificially spamming the group anyways :) I like to count our activity in real numbers: Events run, participants with robots, modules built, people/audience visiting. I'm thoroughly (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Just 100 posts away…

(...) Maybe so but remember it isn't a contest. Quality is better than quantity. I highly doubt NELUG will pick things up just to have the most posts. Either way it is great to see so many active groups out there now. Heck I think we will probably (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: NELUG Tech Level 2 (medieval) game pictures etc..
