Things needed for the shows —Rick Hallman
What kinds of things do you want me to do? I dont have much interest (or money) in trains right now, so what kind of landscape work do you need? A lighthouse? I am building one, thinking of scrapping. Will continue if needed. Rick (24 years ago, 29-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Things needed for the shows —Tony Hedglen
(...) A lighthouse would be good. The last show we did, we didn’t have one. We did not have a power plant. We don’t have a truck stop. We don’t have a sawmill. We don’t have a food store. We don’t have strip malls. I just made a small one a couple (...) (24 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Tony & All, (...) Indeed. Due to the limited space we might have, maybe we should keep creations maybe one or two for each person for right now. I hope we can eliminate most of the stock LEGO buildings. Here are a few more ideas: 1) Custom Police (...) (24 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Things needed for the shows —Tony Hedglen
(...) That’s my thoughts, only two buildings per person. I was only naming ideas. We could have a verity of different buildings in each show. Like driving to a different city. One display might have a small downtown, without skyscrapers. I know (...) (24 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

(...) Tony are you talking about buildings for both the GR show and FR show? (...) I have been working on a custom Police station along with a building "under construction" that matches my big red tower. (...) Scott right now we are still at a 16x20 (...)          Re: Things needed for the shows —Tony Hedglen
(...) I’m just talking in general and for the future. The GR show I know will not be very big. I’m just trying to make suggestions on what we don’t have. I know we have lots of police and fire stations. We have your cookie cutter homes and some big (...) (24 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

   How about some train-related creations? (...) (24 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Things needed for the shows —Tony Hedglen
(...) Are you thinking about stuff like a coal loading facility? Maybe a grain loader? Lumber yard? I already said a logging facility. Train wash? Not like the Lego built. More like a power wash area. Train building facility? Steel mill? A (...) (24 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Things needed for the shows —Steve Bliss
(...) Good ideas! I like the train wash, 'more like a power wash'. If we did that one the right way, it could make a *big* splash with kids. ;) Steve (24 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Things needed for the shows —Josh Baakko
(...) Boy, i should come in here more often. Sorry i havn't been around much. I know a great way to build a fairly large grain facility, and i havn't seen it done yet. It involves the large 4x4x6 quarter circle panels, and lots of bricks. You would (...) (24 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Things needed for the shows —Tony Hedglen
(...) Hey, no fair. Your ideas have pictures. Nice pictures though. What 4x4x6 part are you talking about? What set is it in? I think I know what you’re talking about but I’m not sure on which set it’s in. Star Wars? They used to be in the old bulk (...) (24 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Steve & All, (...) Silly Steve, wanting train stuff at a train show! ; ) Seriously, though, the other Steve in MichLUG (I can't remember his last name, he built that awesome model team size red car, etc. 8 wide train stuff ) is working on his train (...)
