Train Zoning (was Re: Layout Ideas)

Also, will any locomotives or (...) Would it be more concise to specify a max wheelbase (distance between the centers of rotation of the bogeys) and max overhang (distance from the center of the bogey to the end of the structure)? We could be even (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Layout Ideas

Correction to my last posting concerning the under track mounted decoupler system. With only a slight adjustment, (removal of a piece I didn't need) the system I designed for under track mounting is passable by all normal cars and motors and seems (...)   Re: Layout Ideas

If the tracks in the rail yard could be elevated by 2 bricks high we can use a decoupling system from underneath and not have to be concerned so much about how close the tracks are together. The only problem I have ran into in figuring this out is (...) (22 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  MInutes from February IndyLUG meeting

I hope that subject line doesn't get your hopes up. I'm about 20% through writing the minutes. There's a lot of material there, and I hope to make it cohesive and intelligible (as opposed to the knotted spaghetti it appears to be in my notes). (...) I had hoped to be able to attend yesterday's meeting, however, I was unable as we were celebrating my son's 12th birthday. I hope to be (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Public information, er, perhaps a bit too public?

In lugnet.org.us.indylug, Jeramy Spurgeon writes: <snip> I think you may want to reconsider whether it's prudent to put email addresses and phone numbers on a public list where spambots can find them. Even if you expressly asked everyone for (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

(...) I can do that. E-mail me soon (like, before 7:30pm, if possible) with your phone or other info, and I can give you a ride. Or maybe Steve McD is going. . .his car probably gets much better mileage than my van, so if *he* could give us a ride. (...) (22 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Anyone from Lafayette going to the Feb. 9 meeting?

Hi all. I'm from Lafayette, and was wondering if anyone from here is planning on going to the meeting in Indy on Sun., Feb. 9, and if so, could they give me a ride?   A Catalog Request

If anyone has a 1980/1981/1982ish catalog (especially a UK and/or service catalog), I'd love to look at it for at least a few minutes, if you could bring it on Sunday (wanna check on some sets). Thanks, -- TWS Garrison (URL) capital letters in (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Layout Ideas

I don't have a concrete layout, but I do have some ideas, specs, and issues, at least some of which need to be decided upon before we can decide on a layout.   Meeting Time and Food

I'd like to set the meeting time for 2pm - 6pm, if that's all right with everyone. If you're coming, e-mail me off-list so I can get a count. We have a Subway right down the street and I can get one of their party subs, depending on how many people (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Prospective members

Since I collected all those email addresses at GATS, what should I email those people. Should I tell them to come to the Feb meeting? Should they bring food. Should I send them direstions. What do you guys think. -Steve McDonough (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)
