Re: I'm always asking questions regarding the layout... —Kevin Wilson
(...) That was just to earmark that area for the airport building. Doesn't mean you have to build it on a blue baseplate, or make the building blue :-). BTW, we were talking about making the end with the monorail stn transparent, so the audience can (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

(...) I have more then enough track for the show. I suggest that I alone bring the 9v train track. This way cleanup will be a snap in regards to them. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: I'm always asking questions regarding the layout... —Robin Sather
(...) Ditto on the monorail track for me. Also, I now have the 3 short directional control pieces needed for our layout, so Kevin won't need to help there. I'll provide all the monorail track and connectors. I've got lots of supports, but probably (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: I'm always asking questions regarding the layout... —Kevin Wilson
(...) OK. DId you say you were short of ramps, Robin? I can bring those if needed. It also strikes me that we need another directional control piece - at the m-station by the docks, BOTH sides of the loop ought to have a control switch so we can (...)         Re: I'm always asking questions regarding the layout... —Robin Sather
(...) Not short of ramps. We've spec'd out just 1 "ascent" and 1 "descent" in our layout, requiring two track pieces for each. I've got 2 "sets" of each so I'm covered. As far as the other control at the dock station, that's not a bad idea. I'll (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: I'm always asking questions regarding the layout... —Kevin Wilson
(...) I thought we had 2 ascents and 2 descents: On the northern line, there's an ascent directly W of the bidge and a descent directly E of it: on teh southern line, there's an ascent W of the mountain and a descent E of the bridge. Both tracks are (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

(...) Right you are. I'm blind as a bat today ... But yes, I've got 2 sets of each, so we're covered. Robin (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: I'm always asking questions regarding the layout... —Dean Husby
(...) If we can come up with a switch and push system I could make a program that would send each monorail out and wait for it to return before sending the OTHER one... I've always been annoyed with the fact that the monorails SNAP back without (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: I'm always asking questions regarding the layout... —Robin Sather
(...) I don't quite follow you here. (...) The control track has three positions, forward (let the monorail run straight through), reverse (reverse direction immediately), and stop (stop the monorail until one of the other two positions are (...)
