  Re: TOWN meeting

Easy to get around eh... OK I guess it doesn't have any curves then! They are what cause the problem. I'll be bringing a couple of houses and the open-air market and a formal park/garden, at least, and maybe a couple of other things, plus lots of (...)   Re: Good stores in Victoria?

(...) Not sure about cheaper, that is really a set/set comparison, usually you can find stuff cheaper in the US. There is little to be had in the way of good/different lego now in the Victoria area, you might check the Zellers at Tillicum Mall for (...) (24 years ago, 22-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

just wondering what everyone is creating for the town at the next meeting? I'm tossing around a few ideas in my head, but am not sure. Hopefully we will have another great turnout.   Good stores in Victoria?

I'm going to be in Victoria on Saturday and I was wondering if there were any good stores to hit for LEGO finds? Anything I wouldn't find in the States or places that would be cheaper than the States? Thanks! (24 years ago, 22-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: VLC Castle Meeting a Success

Hi, Shiri! Well then... bigger pics it is next time. The problem is we have a very old digital camera and while it grabs in 640 X 480, at that size it's a little blurry... so I shrink the image to increase quality. So perhaps I'll try something (...)   Re: VLC Castle Meeting a Success

(...) I agree! I'm definitely inspired, I was wondering what I should put in my castle's torture chamber... now I know! Thanks :-) That big castle (Dark forest style?) looked really good! Like Jeff said, bigger pics would be cool. -Shiri (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: I'm new here

I'd be happy to attend, but I regret I can not bring any creations with me, since my Lego is still in Victoria. Maybe I will grab a bit of my collection the next time I cross the water and build something small. Either way, I will be there. Silas (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: I'm new here

Hi Silas! You'll be welcome at any and all VLC meetings. Guess what: theme for the next meeting (June 16th) is TOWN! How appropriate! Bulid something and bring it along... there'll be roads laid out for us to tuck our creations into. Kevin (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  I'm new here

Hey there Lego fans! I just moved to Vancouver last week, but I have been a Lugnet member for a while now, so I already knew about the VLC. I am here just for the summer (contract work), so I won't be much of a long term VLC member, but I would (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Gallery image size

(...) I know how that is. :) I started my castle months ago, and still haven't finished it... :\ (...) 640x480 is probably best for detail vs. size.   Gallery image size

(...) Thanks much. I would have had more torture devices, but lacked time. What size pictures would be best? They are grabbed at 640 X 480, then I shrink them to 320 X 240 -- then thumbnails are made of the latter. The tiny thumbnails can be clicked (...) (24 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
