Dan = 2xMike
Ben = Mike + 5
Ben = Dan - 10
Substitute for Dan:
(2xMike) - 10 = Ben = (Mike + 5)
2xMike - 10 = Mike + 5
Add 10 to each side:
2xMike = Mike + 15
Rewrite as:
Mike + Mike = Mike + 15
Subtract a Mike from each side:
Mike = 15
Therefore Ben = 20
Or is Canadian math different from U.S. math? *grin*
