Train1 - Round House —Jeff Van Winden
Hi guys, I have started work on a round house for Train1. My current Design is based on 4 48 x 48 plates and is 4 bricks high (in order to accommodate the gearing and motor for the round house. You can view the sample at: (URL) the track is not (...) (23 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) You almost certainly mean turntable here. Turntables move, rotating around their central axis. Roundhouses don't move, being large solid structures, although one could motorise their doors, I suppose. ++Lar (23 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train1 - Round House —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Nope. While I *am* a source of train knowledge, just like the workers at a roundhouse are, and I have been accused of being a large solid structure incapable of rotation, I move around a lot(1) and I don't have doors. Nor do I allow (...) (23 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Train1 - Round House —Calum Tsang
(...) Great! Let me know if you want to take advantage of a lowered table portion if the four tall raise won't work. Will you be building the roundhouse parts as well as the turntable? TD is pretty well locked to the stud grid, when in fact, the (...) (23 years ago, 22-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train1 - Round House —Jeff Van Winden
(...) I was designing the TURNTABLE with a lowered table portion in mind, I have almost got 4 high base completed. I will be ordering about 900 brick from lego tomorrow to finish the base. I'm planning on building the round house as well, as for the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train1 - Round House —Richard Noeckel
(...) Has anyone at rtlToronto ever considered a ‘group bulk-order’? It would save on shipping charges, and it would be kinda fun to all meet at the dinner and pick up their order collectively! I usually make a $300.00 order every few months, if (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train1 - Round House —Calum Tsang
(...) It's certainly been suggested before. In fact, I think Kevin or Jeff brought it up at the last dinner. I think it's something that needs to be carefully analyzed before going ahead. I'd be interested in a bulk track buy too from St Jacobs or (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Oh you will my little Nortel friend. You will, MOOoooo HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! <more evil laugh> I wonder how well a section of straight track would burn with "Airburst" powder. <again... evil laugh> BTW. I just got a catalog from Sprectum. Lots of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
