For someone who is interested in making 4x4 RC rock crawling buggies, maybe.
For someone who wants to build robots, however...

As a complete aside from the banter with my fav. american 'bot builder, I am
really seriously considering picking up an NXT. Though for what I have in mind,
I'll need 2.
So I'll wait until there's money in the bank.

| (...) DAVE!! save your $$ the NXT just aint all its cracked up to be. $0.02 and a PERSOANL opinion. I mean its ok. im not tossing mine in the garbage. but... well, I've yet to make a WORKING robot. YES, there are a LOT of GOD builders with NICE (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
