Don't see why not. This could be a risky move, but could also be a
good strategy to break the grip or traction fo the opponent bot.

Again, don't see why not, so long as it meets the start size/weight
and location.

As always, I like to approach these contest as problem solving
exercises. A unique/radical/clever design, imo is worth exploring.
Otherwise we might as well just post instruction sets of a standard
chassis and force everyone to build the same thing.
p.s. is there a rule set posted yet?
