So, I "acquired" this UPS. its VERY heavy. I was told it might need a
new battery. When I plugged it in, the self test feature told me the
battery was not happy.
After a day of just keeping it plugged in, (not on) I went back to it,
and it was all "happy."
I would have loved to use this device as a Backup power source for my
sump pump, but lets just say that 950W might be enuff to RUN the motor,
but the is that little problem of start up surge..... grrrrrr
Anyhow, I have no real need for a computer UPS, and it seems in working
condition. Anyone need this 50 lb of lead? I'd be willing to trade it
for lego.
Let me know and I would be willing to lug it to the dinner.

| (...) Have you looked into a water powered backup sump pump? (URL) friend put one in 'cause his power has poor reliability (in the country) but he is on municipal water and has the pressure there. -Rob A> (19 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
