k,
i'm not exactly happy with the monkey bar thingy...
--
not that i'm writing it off...
but i've come up with another competition that can be held at the same event.
i'm putting black electrical tape down on my 4x4 arena, maze-like.
whichever 'bot runs the black line maze the quickest wins.
i'll get a pic of the actual maze up asap with more little guidelines/rules.
thinking that the blackline will end at a white one and the 'bot has to stop
on the white one. from the time you press the button 'run' to the 'bot
stopping on the white square is the time for your 'bot.
so you can keep the 'bot small, cute and fast.
just an rcx, few motors/tires, a light sensor or two and bumpers (if you want)
the programming is where you'll win.
so that's my idea to have a parallel competition at the next event run by
yours truly
i'll bring a stopwatch.
and i'll try to make a monkey'bot

Actually, thinking about this a little more and discussing with friends.... using the 4x4 arena... the 'bots start in opposite corners on top of the black line... the lines follow a random winding way until they both end up in the middle, (...)
