Well the fortwo is suposedly coming to the US in 2007. I suspect they’ll bring the forfour (horrid) down there, too.

Last I heard, it was only the forfour, but the latest news is that it ain’t gonna happen.

Iain you should get a Ridgeline, that’s more your style. :-)

I think my body would shut down and I’d fall over dead before ever stepping foot in something as needlessly large as that.

I don’t know Iain... I could almost picture you in a large pickup... almost :)

I just watched a segment on a British car show (Fifth Gear) on crashing a smart. They took a fortwo pure and rigged it to be driven with RC controls. I should burn it to DVD. They drove it into a concrete wall at 115 km/h.

I love that show!!! Was Jeremy Clarkson narrating? Where did you see the show? Downloaded it? I downloaded a bunch of 5th gear episodes, but they all involved larger and faster (usually) cars :)

They once did a short clip entitled “how to kill a Porsche 911”. It also involved driving into walls. ‘nuff said.

   It... made me feel ill.

The Porsche episode had the same effect

(...) bad form to reply to myself and all that. I guess I jumped the gun on that Iain... The Jeremy Clarkson I referred to is on Top Gear, not Fifth Gear. Eventhough in all my cars, 5th gear has always been Top gear, hence my mixup. Thanks Bram! (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)
