Ok, issue. I'm gonna (obviously) be in Toronto this Friday for dinner.
Dinner typically starts ~18h. Suits me fine; I typically leave work at 17h,
geting to Kipling an hour therafter, and arriving at Mel's at like 18h30.
Issue: I need to ride my Top Scan. I need to recieve my weekly fix. I'm in
withdrawl. I sit there, at work, every day, basicallly vibrating/shaking/in
chills because I'm not riding. I look up at the picture in my cubicle and
almost cry that I'm not experiencing the beauty and sheer power of the
world's greatest flat ride. OMG, it's so not fair. This other guy across
from me leaves every TWELVE MINUTES to go downstairs for a smoke. HE GETS
HIS FIX. WHY CAN'T I HAVE MINE. Maybe I should request Ventax put in a Top
Scan to help my adiction. Winters are always VERY, VERY hard for me (parks
not open). This winter will be *very*, VERY bad.
Therefore, I think (no, must) I'll be stoping up at the park beforehand for
an hour (realistically - because by the time I get parked, get into the
park, run in, wait in line, ride, crawl off and then recover afterword, and
somehow try and walk back to my car...), and if I then drive over to
Yorkdale and ride in, I probably wouldn't get to Mel's before 20h.
Now, I can't quite remember, but I seem to recall that other nights we've
stayed there as late as 21h to 22h. Does that sound right? If that's the
case, I'd be willing to make the effort (huff, puff) to come on down and
bring along my surprise.
But if I don't show up, don't wait for me. It just means I was consumed.
Eaten. Mutilated. Abused. Cuddled. Overwhelmed. Evolved by. Sacrificed to
the Top Scan. But don't cry; if it happens, it was meant to be. The lords of
the flats requested it.
"Dear God, who art at PCWo,
Top Scan be thy name..."
:)

P.S. - If you think I'm crazy, ask Calum what he thinks of it. He seemed
pretty overwhelmed by his first ride, too. :)

Alas, usually a developer hits me with a stack of testcase documentation and I'm back to normal... :) (...) I ran some (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
