It occurred to me a few weeks ago (but I haven't had time to post it)
that the N-scale DCC decoders could have a problem that I haven't seen
discussed yet.
Now, in fairness, I haven't checked my mother's N-scale engines and
compared them to my Lego models (and yes, I finally bought a modern
Lego train) but intuitively, given the size of the N-scale motors and
the low mass of the trains, I have to think that the current drawn by
an N-scale engine (and hence, passed by an N-scale DCC decoder) must
be considerably smaller than what a Lego motor draws under load.....

Are you guys completely sure these things aren't going to fry after a
few minutes/hours???

I'd hate to see people go out an buy a bunch of these things only to
find them undergoing a premature demise.

P.S.: If anyone knows what the actual electrical ratings for N-scale
DCC controllers are, and for that matter, what the stall current drawn
by a Lego Motor at 12V is, could you please post them?
