    Amusments Parks —Derek Raycraft
Iain, I'm going to Southern California. Other then the obvious one, what theme park should I go to. I want rides. Derek ps. I think we can all guess what the obvious one is. (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: Amusments Parks —Larry Pieniazek
(...) For rides rather than theming I think you'd want Six Flags or Knotts, rather than Disney or Universal which are primarily theme parks. I have heard good things about California Adventure's coaster but haven't ridden it. As far as big ride (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Amusments Parks —Timothy Carl Buchheim
(...) Yeah, skip Disneyland if you want exciting rides. It's an interesting place, but the rides are pretty tame. (...) Ghost Rider is great. For a wooden coaster fan, Ghost Rider alone is reason to stop by Knotts. I haven't been too thrilled with (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: Amusments Parks —Iain Hendry
(...) :) Tower of Terror at DCA should soft-open soon (although I haven't been following that ride very closely, so I'm not sure if that's a week away or 2 months away). I've heard good things about Soarin' Over California and Indiana Jones. rcdb is (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

         Re: Amusments Parks —Derek Raycraft
Thanks to all the Iains out there for your replays. I believe, along with the obvious one, I'll be heading to Knott's Berry Farm. I must say I was a little confused by the name when Jeff first listed off the possibilities. It sounded like he was (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

         Re: Amusments Parks —Iain Hendry
(...) :) Wish I could be there. (URL) Good warm up. (URL) Good warm up. (URL) Perhaps not the best warm up. :) I think you'll really like Montezooma's Revenge. I'm going to quiz you on the launch system on that one when you get back. See if you can (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

         Re: Amusments Parks —Derek Raycraft
(...) I was thinking we could do the biggest and baddest first, then nothing else could possibly be worse. He does seem to concerned about regurgitation factors though. :-) (...) Is it midget powered? Please tell me it's midget powered. Or Umpa (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: Amusments Parks —Todd Thuma
(...) Derek, I have been to Magic Mountain (Six Flags), DisneyLand, Disney California Adventure and Knott's Berry Farm. If you seek rides, more specifically coasters, then Six Flags Magic Mountain is the place you want to go. When I went it was (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: Amusments Parks —Iain Hendry
(...) X looks stunning in theory, it's a great concept and I only hope one day Intamin, B+M or Vekoma can take that Arrow trash and rework their general idea into something that actually works properly and doesn't tear itself to pieces :) (...) I've (...) (21 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
